Welcome
Welcome to the Hackenbush Herald.

You are currently viewing our boards as a guest, which gives you limited access to the most entertaining site on the Internet... Now stop being a fool and Join up or if you have already joined then Log on... we don't bite honestly!!
Inside you will find loads of interesting people to communicate with, laugh with, share a virtual beer with, and just ask for plain old help in anything you need... We are a wide and varied bunch, quite bizarre and strange in most of the things we do, but all good people at heart...
I do however have to warn you about Doug.ie, he's a fat bald headed bloke who thinks he's king pin on the forums, however he is easily taken down a peg or two, if your having difficulty with him just ask and i'll give you a picture of him naked to use as a weapon!!

Oh...one last thing his dog is gay by the way!!!

Welcome aboard!

Hello Everybody,

21 Days with Mike Peters begins tomorrow exclusively at www.thealarm.com

21 Days with Mike Peters is an interactive internet based event whereby I intend to use www.thealarm.com as a virtual stage over the course of the next 21 Days.

As well as posting videos and new information, I will be taking questions throughout, and hope that some interesting subjects arise.

21 Days with Mike Peters will utilise all of the current internet technologies to keep the lines of communication flowing. I hope the interactive nature of this event will create a mass of content that will focus attention on and about The Gathering, the upcoming UK tour and all the new Mike Peters / Alarm releases for 2009. As the event develops, a new www.thealarm.com will be unveiled by webmaster Steve Fulton.

You will be able to post questions at www.thealarm.com or send via email to alarmcalling@mac.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false (Marked : 21 Days).

I am very excited about the prospect of meeting you all online and presenting to you the story behind all of the new releases scheduled for November 2nd.

There is so much to more say about Kilimanjaro, the upcoming tour and a ton of other subjects but I will leave it all until tomorrow and the commencement of 21 Days...........

Love, hope and strength,

Mike Peters

It's got to be an improvement on the old site, wonder what's to come over the following 21 days?

Well, it's still not finished. I thought Steve F. had done a pretty job and there's much more to come. I think when the work is completed we can then say what we think of it, but for a work in progress I'm pretty impressed.

I spent the morning reading the blogs on the making of Under Attack, very insightful :)

They are hoping that the site will be all complete by December.

Steve posted a little something here:

It is taking me a bit to digest it all. I just need to look at one section at a time but the content is within the links is brilliant. I'm so glad the pics are back.
Did really enjoy the Q & A today.

Yeah was a great interactive, session with some good questions from 'The Hack' folks.

Unfortunately there is always one numpty out there intent to spoil these things.
I have read post by ‘The Blue Barron’ over on The Alarm forum for some time now (thankfully he’s been quiet for a while) everything is negative and I doubt if he is actually a fan.
For anyone who’s not read it he slagged off the new website, fair enough but as Doug said it’s not finished yet, but he then went on to suggest that Mike prefers to distance himself from the fans !!! I mean come on.
I know everyone deserves an opinion and I don’t expect everyone to be all crawly bum lick for everything Alarm/Mike Peters but this bloke is more than just a little tedious.
Why can’t they just ban him?

well..he doesnt like the new site, but any digs towards it are digs towards steve fulton, and that guy had spent a lot of time..a lot...of getting things back together...i spoke with steve online recently and i know he was under serious pressure with time....as for the craiglist reference, well, that was a very popular site...and facebook, twitter etc are all simple looking and work well and are popular.

as for the distance between mike and fans...well, thats a repeat of a rant i had myself last year...but, i dunno..i have all that figured out now in my head...i feel like i should comment, but not sure what to say..

the 'elvis syndrome' comment...well, thats just fans being respectful..thats all..

old baron is famous today with his post.

Simon's post on that thread was so funny. I also spat my tea on the computer! You got to read it (page 5).

Just booked up tickets/trains/ B & B for the 21 Songs Show in Wrexham on November 1st. What a great way to start the month and then to end the month with The Alarm in Glasgow on the 29th :)

Anyone else going to the Wrexham show?

It's Shirley's 40th birthday at the end of the October so funds will be a bit low, otherwise I may have joined you, it all sounds good.

I find the site as it is a bit confusing right now, too, or I guess just overwhelming, but judgment reserved for when it is finished. Besides, I am always overwhelmed by any new site until I get to know it better... I haven't been on the forums long, but that Blue Baron guy is nuts-o, imo!
