I've got a list of all the stores taking part

Record Store Day is a worldwide event, but I think the release will only be in the USA. They may sell copies to those outside of the States through their website?

Here's the video for the next since "Great Expectations", released in mid-March ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2Leo9HSaGQ

Frank Turner and Brian Fallon have been performing a version of Billy Bragg's "New England" as part of the GLA encore. Here is them performing it in Munich last week ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys3Q8_vZ4dM

Apparently they have been rehearsing a full band version of "Way Over Yonder ..." from the Bragg / Wilco collaberation of Woodie Guthrie lyrics album "Mermaid Avenue". Would really like to hear that, hoefully they'll have nailed it before next weeks shows.

There's some great footage of Brian covering Bruce Springsteen’s “Backstreets”, along with a bunch of other artists have also recently covered Springsteen. You can check out everyone’s versions at here htttp://brucespringsteen.net/news/hanginout.html if you’re interested?

Frank Turner was a revelation - didn't know too much about him bar what I'd read on here in the past - very good entertainer - I was trying to put my finger on who he reminded me of - there's the Billy Bragg comparison - which, yes, I can see, but there was someone from a bit further back that he put me in mind of. Mid set I got it. But I fear murder will ensue if I ever make my thoughts known so I'm keeping quiet.

Spill it Batspice! :-D

Gaslight Anthem did not disappoint ... ended up joining Simon at the barrier infront of the speakers. For the most part they came across great but there was some very dodgy bass distortion at our end which was painful to say the least. Great view though

I told you not to stand there!

The sound was alright a bit further out, I knew if I stood near the bass bins it would completely impede my drive home. My ears still haven't recovered from having to use chewwing gum as ear plugs a few years ago

This was the fifth time I’ve seen Gaslight Anthem in the last seven months, obviously I believe they are something quite special. It was a pleasure to share the gig with Pauline, Simon & Andy, I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did? It was strange last night they played the widest selection of songs omiting a few from ’59 Sound’("Patient Ferris Wheel" & "Rivers Edge") and "Say You won't Recognise", but played songs that had disappeared off the set list from their debut that were well received by the hardcore. I thought they were much more polished, I was anxious initially 'cause they played the first five songs quite aggressively and with little talk, the whole set changed after "59 Sound" and it became the best show I've seen them play. They've evolved so much in such a short time, I know they're coming back in the summer for some festival dates I wonder how much more they'll progress?

Turn away young viewers because Im going to swear.
What a fucking excellent show. Frank Turner was ace(dont think I've ever seen rock city THAT full to watch a support) and all the people round me were singing along to all the words.
As for the Gaslight Anthem, well I knew they were great, but not that bloody great. Great sense of humour and entertainment and a fantastic sound, with songs even the Boss would die for.
I was like a pig in shit.
Even with a bad head cold.

Nice (and very true to the original) cover of The Replacements "Left of the Dial."

I think the lyrics on the current CD are some of the finest I've ever heard.

Did you manage to get yourselves a copy of this? If not its available here to buy and download.

Yeah, it didn't get imported to UK stores so I had to have it sent over from the States, but picked up a few other items on Record Store Day :-D
