Welcome
Welcome to the Hackenbush Herald.

You are currently viewing our boards as a guest, which gives you limited access to the most entertaining site on the Internet... Now stop being a fool and Join up or if you have already joined then Log on... we don't bite honestly!!
Inside you will find loads of interesting people to communicate with, laugh with, share a virtual beer with, and just ask for plain old help in anything you need... We are a wide and varied bunch, quite bizarre and strange in most of the things we do, but all good people at heart...
I do however have to warn you about Doug.ie, he's a fat bald headed bloke who thinks he's king pin on the forums, however he is easily taken down a peg or two, if your having difficulty with him just ask and i'll give you a picture of him naked to use as a weapon!!

Oh...one last thing his dog is gay by the way!!!

Welcome aboard!

Cut a few courgettes into thing slices.

Coat with flour (a little s&p in the flour is good).

Fry for around 3 minutes a side in olive oil.

Serve with tsatsiki.

Simple, tasty, cheap, healthy, quick, and veggie (if that's your thing).

mm...i'll see your fried courgettes, and i'll raise you..

Giant Stuffed Mushrooms

* large mushrooms
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 1 small red onion
* fresh wholemeal breadcrumbs
* sweetcorn
* black pepper
* pinch of salt
* fresh parsley
* red leicester cheese

1. Wash the mushrooms clean then remove the stems.
2. Simmer the mushrooms in the olive oil.
3. Once tender, remove from heat.
4. Mix the breadcrumbs, some red onion, sweetcorn, freshly ground black pepper and a pinch of salt.
4. Place the mushroom caps in a shallow oven dish and pile the filling into them. Dot them with a little oil and cover them over with the red leicster cheese.
5. Bake at Gas Mark 5 for 20 minutes and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Deep fried Mars bar?? That is county fair food here - urk urk urk!

zucchini pancakes (courgettes)
4-6 grated zucchini, salted and let drain 30 min, all the juice squeezed out,
Mixed with 4 eggs, lemon zest, chopped fresh basil, minced fresh onion and garlic, fried in batches in 1/2 butter, 1/2 olive oil, sprinkle sea salt over it, serve w/ sour cream :-)
