Listening as I type this. Good show Gol. Love the Cliftons track. Hope we get to hear more of your shows mate. Quality. I like the fact that you give out great info about the artists. Reminds me of Peelie :)

The Rob Zombie cover of Blitzkrieg Bop was amazing. The Beautiful South did a really laid back version of it also. Costello - very nice. I agree with Gol, Skinny get that band up and at it again!

Bankrobber by Audioweb - I love that cover!

Is it just me, or is Gol's Irish accent just a little more pronounced than I'm used to? Maybe it softens a bit when he comes over the water and is surrounded by us foreigners, or maybe my memory is just failing me.

Nice one, anyway. I'll post a bit more when I've listened to it all.

I think it was Gol who brought up the idea of a DW radio station a few years back - we looked into it and it would have cost quite a bit to do. That was then and technology has certainly moved on since then, so it might well be worth someone looking at what is available now.

well, rather than a radio station...why not just produce a programme each month and put it on a player like gols above ^^

then we could have one player with 'week 1' 'week 2' etc as tracks....

but...what format would it take??...would it be each person sending a 10 minute mp3 of what they want to contribute and then making one long mp3??...or would it be one person producing it ??

Doug, I liked your idea of maybe getting a couple of people to do a show. Maybe we could get two people to do one show of about the same length as Gol's show. How would you record the talk part of a show on the computer. Being someone who has not a lot of knowledge of technology could you let me know. I have an in-built microphone on the computer that records in mp3 format, will that do? If so I might give it a try just as a test run!

The Rob Zombie cover was awful (IMVHO) - a punk classic turned into sad metal. But then again, I've always held an unreasonable prejudice about such things.

Little Girl of Mine, what a classic. I love Doo Wop, and it's great to hear a bit coming from an unexpected source. Cheers, Gol.

A bit of The Cult thrown in for good measure - never a bad thing - and Skinny shows up, too - again, never a bad thing.

And what a nice genre-bending finish.

I right enjoyed that! You must be having great fun.

Cheers for the positive comments folks, I'm really chuffed at that! I hope you're not all just humouring me :-)

I purposely want to include something a little left field every week as I dont want it to be just a guitar rock orientated show so far I've had Smokey Robinson, some Doo Wop, ska and I had a vinyl show lined up for last week with some Elmore James but the turntable packed in. Hopefully I'll get round to the vinyl show soon.

Jilted John WILL get played Leighton mun so worry not, Ill make sure its recorded and dedicated to you :-)

I hope to have my election special up soon too...

As for the accent Steve, that may have a little to do with the drink ;-) (in Wales that is not in the studio)
