Welcome
Welcome to the Hackenbush Herald.

You are currently viewing our boards as a guest, which gives you limited access to the most entertaining site on the Internet... Now stop being a fool and Join up or if you have already joined then Log on... we don't bite honestly!!
Inside you will find loads of interesting people to communicate with, laugh with, share a virtual beer with, and just ask for plain old help in anything you need... We are a wide and varied bunch, quite bizarre and strange in most of the things we do, but all good people at heart...
I do however have to warn you about Doug.ie, he's a fat bald headed bloke who thinks he's king pin on the forums, however he is easily taken down a peg or two, if your having difficulty with him just ask and i'll give you a picture of him naked to use as a weapon!!

Oh...one last thing his dog is gay by the way!!!

Welcome aboard!

A couple of other things about the set list and the show.

They did not do One Step Closer to Home! The only one on the list that wasn't played. Apart from that it was actually a good show (though one very low point was a very poor version of 68 Guns sung by some guy I didn't recognize. Dave said that he had only practised it in the van on the way to the show!).

Dave didn't sing any songs on his own (he did do backing vocals). The rest of the band were pretty tight and the vocalist (I'm blank...only had a few hours sleep!) did well and only resorted to a lyric sheet once and that was on Rain in the Summertime (I think).

Met up with some nice folks from The Hack and The Alarm forum and had a sweet time with Lily (had to delete a couple of videos because Lily's hair kept invading the lens - she was so happy dancing about like she was sixteen again!), lovely seeing Helen also (she's a real sweetheart! ) and the Eric and his wife (who in my tiredness I've forgotten....Jan, Jane...?).

I don't think it was sold out but there was a great crowd there (I hung out for quite a while with a couple of Polish Punk Rockers who shared their passion for 1977 Punk with me in very broken English). I'm sue more will come back to me when I wake up properly, for now I got to go and get ready for work!

Glasgow Doug - who are the couple in the second photo from the bottom? We met them at the Casbah Club in Sheffield when Sharpie played there a few years back and had a good old natter with them.

Thanks so much for the pictures Glasgow Doug! Really wish I could have got there!
I'm not sure I would have liked some unknown singer messing up 68 guns though :?
Hope they play Manchester soon!

I would love to see Sharpy play live in any guise. However I'm now limiting myself to a 50 mile radius for travel especially on a work night.
So as someone who I cant remember once sang...Move closer (mr sharp).

I think I have one Doug. The others I deleted as things heated up in the Mosh Pit! Lily was running riot!!! Actually one of the videos had her hair flying about so much that it was impossible to watch. Should have kept it for the fun aspect but nevertheless I didn't. I'll convert the file and then post it soon. Maybe do it on youtube. I can't even remember what video survived. I think Eric got most of it on video apart from parts of Black Sun. The video I have is Dawn Chorus and I'm uploading it now so it should be ready in a while.

One of the things I must admit that I like about Dave Sharp is that he is one of the best guys to photograph when he is on stage. He has all these great guitar hero poses that he seems to hold for a while just so you can get the great picture. Below are a few examples (there might be a couple that I've already posted but who cares!)
